There aren”t many people in the world that could finish a triathlon, let alone compete while also having a disability. But the Mondrup brothers are different.
Peder and Steen Mondrup are two triathletes that certainly stick out during the grueling races they partake in. For one, they compete as a duo. Yet, despite there being two bodies, you can tell they share the same spirit. Not only do they compete together, but Peder”s cerebral palsy makes a difficult race even harder.
Nevertheless, Steen is happy to do the heavy lifting while Peder provides the motivation and mental strength. They may not win many triathlons, but they are the heavy favorite to win your heart. After all, the real victory is the love and care they share for each other, as well as how they transcend the limitations imposed on them.
Peder and Steen Mondrup. They are collectively known as Team Tvilling in the triathlon world.
Steen and Peder training for the swimming portion of the triathlon. They have to swim 3.8 KM, and that”s just one part of the race. As you can see, Peder uses an inflatable kayak to keep afloat.

Steen may do a lot of the physical carrying, but Peder does so much of the emotional heavy lifting.
It”s a team effort, and a great one at that.

It”s no surprise that Peder and Steen attract many fans. How could you not cheer for these two? Their commitment to brotherhood and not letting physical limitations get in the way of living your best life is truly inspiring.

It looks like some of that water followed them into the cycling part of the race. This still won”t stop the amazing duo.
Finishers! They did it! After 15 hours, 42 minutes, and 38 seconds, they”ve shown the world once again what they can do together.

These two are quite an inspiration. Congratulations on all of your success, Peder and Steen!
