Pet owners in a small Texas town are keeping their dogs indoors as often as they can. If they don”t, their beloved pet might join around 40 dogs who suddenly disappeared all across Wise County. No one knows why these beloved animals are missing, and it”s terrifying the locals.
Since November, dozens of pet owners across Wise County have reported their dogs as missing. According to authorities, at least 40 dogs disappeared without a trace over the last several months.
What makes it even stranger is that police have no leads or physical evidence to suggest where the dogs might be. The only clue is a report of a strange car that was spotted in town on the same day that one of the dogs went missing.
“It does have some eyebrows raised,” said town sheriff David Walker. “Could they be using them in dog fights? I guess that”s possible. Selling them on some sort of social media sites or Craigslist or something like that.”
Families in the area are sadly starting to lose hope for having their beloved furry family members returned. Many say they just wish that their stolen pets are living with other families instead suffering another, more terrible fate.
