Easter egg hunts are fun, but let”s be honest…hunting for hard-boiled eggs isn”t anything to write home about. This year, though, you can spice up your egg hunt with glow-in-the-dark, black light eggs! All you need is warm water, white vinegar, and fluorescent glow paint. (Plus a black light, of course.)
Your kids will have a great time decorating these light-up Easter staples and finding them in the dark, they might just forget about all the candy that comes after! No promises, though.
You”ll need glow-in-the-dark or fluorescent paint, white vinegar, and warm water. Plus, of course, hard-boiled eggs.
In a bowl, mix a few drops of glow paint, a little bit of warm water, and two tablespoons of vinegar.
Then roll the eggs around in each bowl for the desired color scheme.
If you turn on your black light while you dye the eggs, you”ll get a better idea of what the finished product will look like.
The process might get messy, especially if you have kids. Make sure to purchase washable glow paint.
You can also use a paintbrush to decorate them, if you want more control over the design.
The results are really cool.
These eggs look like something out of a science fiction movie.
What patterns and designs will you create?
If you don”t want to dye eggs, you can still make light-up eggs by putting glow sticks into plastic eggs. No black light required.

These eggs are so awesome, I might make some just for myself! Will you try this at home?
