This Misfit Family Of Tigers, Panthers, And Jaguars Will Warm Your Heart

There’s no denying the adorable charm big cats can bring to the table with their large, cuddly feline ways. But for their safety as much as your own, they should never be taken into a home as a pet or forced to live in any sort of captivity beyond their control.

The Black Jaguar White Tiger Foundation in Mexico is dedicated to rescuing jaguars, tigers, lions, cheetahs, cougars, and any other big cat in need. The foundation was established in 2013 by cousins Eduardo and Miguel who were inspired to make a difference after witnessing a black jaguar cub be drugged and dragged around as an entertainment spectacle. They brought the youngster away from her cruel conditions and haven’t stopped fighting for the rights of these defenseless animals ever since. As a team, they work to rescue big cats from from illegal breeders, zoos, and circuses across Mexico.

While it does show off their cute and cuddly side, they still warn against cozying up to a big cat without proper training.

They may be tiny, adorable babies, but they’re still fierce.

Luckily for Eduardo, he’s fully qualified for all snuggle needs.

Only he could get away with this and still keep all his digits intact.

The facility has three sections: a nursery for the really young rescues, eight acres of safe land for the rest to roam, and a plan for a much larger expansion of land to take in even more big guys.

Imagine finding this adorable lil’ “monster” under your bed.

They welcome any big cat (or other animals, if possible) who needs a safe place to recover and rehabilitate.

Unfortunately, because the animals have spent so much of their lives in captivity, it isn’t safe for them to be released back into the wild.

So the crew does their best to keep them happy, healthy, and safe on their grounds.

The big guys are pretty patient with the non-wild animals, too.
