Most people believe that living in a van is a sign of being unsuccessful. There usually isn”t a shower in the van, and there”s often a lack of space. After all, it”s not a house, so it can”t be all that comfortable.
Conversely, if you make it to be a Major League Baseball player, most people would think that you are pretty successful. Being a professional athlete is a dream for tons of kids in the world, and it usually comes with a ton of money.
So why exactly is Daniel Norris, a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, living in a van behind a Walmart?
Norris believes that his lifestyle promotes freedom and seclusion. While everything he does during baseball season is under a microscope, he can get away from it all in his 1978 VW van.

We could all learn a little something from Mr. Norris. First of all, he”s not spending too much money by living in a van, so the millions he earned and will earn as a professional baseball player are safe for the future. I think he could make the millions he has earned stretch for quite a while with this lifestyle, and I applaud him for his efforts.
