Many people don”t know how smart pigs actually are. It”s arguable that pigs are just as smart, if not smarter than dogs. But let”s not split hairs here. Instead, let”s look at some cold, hard proof.
While all of these obedience class cuties put on a great show, Amy gets an extra gold star for pioneering a name for mini pigs everywhere.
Meet Amy, the miniature pig.
At just six months old, Amy is enrolled at the Family Dog Training Center in Kent, Washington.
The only requirement for her acceptance into the program was that she be housebroken.
Clearly, she”s excelled far beyond simple manners!
Amy learned obedience right away, and began taking on agility tasks that many dog breeds don”t even have the patience to accept.
Recently, Amy performed at the Seattle Kennel Club Dog Show. Just look at that shining star in action.
You can tell how proud of herself she is by that sweet smile!
What”s the key to success? Lettuce, according to Amy”s mom, Lori Stock, along with the piglet”s own desire to succeed.

There”s no question that Amy knows what a good little piggy she is, and it”s amazing how well she”s done in her studies! A+ for Amy!
