We”ve heard time and time again about the countless number of animals in shelters looking to find a home. Yet, people are still willing to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on an animal at a pet store despite all of the dogs and cats that are dying in shelters every day. Due to overcrowding, disease, and depression, many adoptable pets reach the end of their lives far too early, without ever finding their forever home.
It doesn”t matter what breed a potential pet is…
So this pet store in Brazil let Priceless Pets, a group looking to get more animals adopted, use their displays for one whole day.
The animals for sale were replaced with animals up for adoption animals who needed to be saved.
When the customers found out that the animals were free, they were completely shocked.
They quickly realized that pets up for adoption are just as loving — and cute — as those you need to buy at a pet store.
You should be warned: this video might melt your heart.

There you have it: rock-solid proof that it”s what kind of heart an animal has, not who his or her parents were. As long as that special spark between a human and a potential animal is there, then any mutt who needs a home is better than purchasing a purebred.
