The Black Keys Sponsor a Hometown Little League Team

The world-famous band The Black Keys, a band known for it”s raw blues-rock sound, was originally from Akron, Ohio. They grew up in the city, formed the band there and even performed there first. So to show some hometown pride, they decided to sponsor a Little League team this year.

The drummer, Patrick Carney, tweeted and posted a picture to Instragram of the team”s new jerseys:

Patrick and the guitarist Dan Auerbach told the kids of the West Akron Baseball & Softball League that if they mailed them their Black Keys jerseys after the season was over, they”d even autograph the shirts for them.

Coolest. Band. Ever.
