People take selfies with animals all the time. This is not old news. It”s not that hard to do…when you”re above water.
Margo Sanchez and Stephanie Adamson took it upon themselves to take a selfie stick below sea level and snag these extra-special animal selfies with some of their favorite aquatic creatures. Reigning from San Diego, CA, these ladies have traveled from Papua New Guinea all the way to the Virgin Islands to snap these amazing photos.
I mean…when”s the last time you saw a selfie with a shark?
How about a cute puffer fish?
He even smiled for the photo.
“We have to be very careful and respectful with different sea life,” says Stephanie.
“There are some creatures that sting or bite, and some sea life is delicate and can be injured if not treated with caution.”
They”d been using GoPro cameras for a few years to take pictures of each other underwater…
…But the selfie stick makes it easier to snap pics together!
And, of course, with underwater critters small…

You won”t catch me down there with the sharks. No way! I”m super happy that these brave ladies caught these images so I could see these awesome creatures up close…you know, minus the impending doom!
