Desiree Andrews, an eighth grader and cheerleader at Lincoln Middle School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was disgustingly bullied by kids in the stands during a boys” basketball game. The heartless bullies continuously picked on Desiree for having Down syndrome while she performed her cheerleading routine. However, the basketball players decided to walk off the court to confront the bullies, showing their support for Desiree. The heartwarming incident caught attention from local and national news organizations and caused quite a stir in the community.

This was a beautiful example of young boys standing up for what”s right and decent. It”s nice to see that there is some humanity left in this world when so many bad stories dominate the front pages. It”s also lovely to see how one person”s true friends come to their aid during a time of need.
