If You Thought Crafts Were Just For Ladies, Wait Until You See This Manly DIY

Despite what you may think, DIY home decor projects are not just for women. When it comes to revamping a boring piece of furniture or making sparkly art, even the men among us can get down with a glue gun and decoupage. DIY dude Al3may took this to heart, making a set of unique votive candle holders with glue, electrical tape, and a craft supply he has dubbed “man glitter.” You might even have some of this rustic confetti hanging around your garage! If your glasses are dirty, you”ll need to wash them off and let them dry. If they aren”t clean, the glue might not stick to the surface. Once they”re spick and span, use electrical tape to create your desired design on the surface.

Now it”s time to apply the sawdust, aka “man glitter.” Use your strainer to make sure there are no large pieces of wood in the mix. Then spread your glue liberally over the exposed glass, and roll it in the dust. Remove the tape once the glue has dried.

To finish your craft, brush off any excess sawdust with a sponge applicator or paint brush. Then spray the glasses with a clear finishing spray to seal in your design.

I never thought to use sawdust as a craft supply, but this idea is genius. This craft really goes to show that anything and everything can have a second life! Would you try this at home?
