He Pulled Her From A Burning Building 17 Years Ago. Now She’s Graduating

If you save a person”s life, you are eternally connected to that person. If you are in the profession of being a firefighter, you save people”s lives every day. Firefighters share a special connection with so many people that I”m sure they have a hard time keeping track of just who they”re connected to.

Mike Hughes is a firefighter who has saved numerous lives in his storied career. Now, he is getting special recognition from a girl who he saved 17 years ago. While she was only nine months old, Dawnielle Davidson was saved from a burning building by Hughes. As a thank you, she invited him to her graduation, where the two shared a special moment.

A reunion like this one is quite rare. Firemen mostly go unthanked for their courageous efforts, but it”s great to see that this girl is showing her eternal gratitude.
