What if I were to tell you that you can turn a simple can of tuna into a makeshift oil lamp? You”d probably think I was talking nonsense. Honestly, I wouldn”t blame you. Before seeing this video, I would think this was crazy, too!
It turns out that it”s actually quite easy to do and works like a charm. As you”ll see in the video below, all you have to do is cut a hole in the top of the can and stick your makeshift thread into the tuna. You can even eat the tuna after using this, making it a perfect fishy addition to any survival kit.

Having the ability to generate light without the need of electricity should be part of everyone”s emergency essentials. Flashlights or electric lamps obviously work best, but batteries eventually die, leaving you in the dark when you need light the most. This hack works wonders, and has the added benefit of being edible once the light goes out.
Now if you”ll excuse me, I must go stock up on tuna, thread, and matches in case of an emergency.
