You can make jewelry out of anything…and when I say anything, I mean anything.
Take this guy, for example. He bought a giant slab of Himalyan salt the same stuff that you can cook delicious dishes on and turned it into an incredible accessory. Before you say, “That”s a waste,” check out his DIY jewelry project below.
Salt, salt, and more salt!
First, he cut the block into the proper proportions.
He then used a high-powered drill to make a hole in the block.
The friction of the drill made the salt extremely hot, so be careful if you decide to give this a go.
Once the block cooled, he rounded the corners and started shaping the salt into a bracelet.
After that, he placed it on a lathe…
It spun the bracelet with enough speed for him to grind the material into the proper shape.
And it left one salty mess behind.
He then took wet sandpaper to the cuff to add a bit of shine.
And here”s the finished product!
For such a simple piece of jewelry, it really is beautiful.
With a little light, you can see all the remarkable details.

It”s hard to believe that this awesome bracelet started out as a slab of salt. Now when your friends ask you to add some extra flavor to their meal, just tell them you”ll go grab your bracelet!
