An Orphaned Cub Experienced Nature For The First Time…This Was Her Reaction

Think about that feeling of getting outside on a warm, summer day after being cooped up all winter. Now multiply that by 100 and you”ve got what Kala, this playfully adorable sun bear cub, is experiencing.

Kala”s mother was killed by poachers and the little cub was sold into captivity. Luckily, the person who purchased her quickly realized that she needed to be turned into the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center to get her life back on track.

Kala”s absolute favorite activities are digging, eating soil, and simply goofing around. No bear should ever be kept in captivity, but since sun bears are the smallest breed of bear, people seem to think they”d make good pets. These photos of Kala going absolutely nuts with happiness over her nature walks are proof enough that these guys belong in the wilderness.
