The success rate of future predictions is, well, unpredictable.

Sometimes speculation is wrong. (It’s 2015 and I still don’t have my Back to the Future hoverboard.)

Other times, it’s right on the money. (I predicted last night that I’d come into work hungover.)

Back in 2005, several forecasts were made for what life would be like by 2015. Our friends over at Bustle revealed a list of the predictions that weren’t exactly accurate.

Several people thought artificial intelligence would play a large part in sports by now. I’m talking about having the type of robot players that could use their own power to deflate a football.

It wasn’t just sports where A.I. was expected to take over. Would you believe that one predictor even thought the highest paid celebrity in the world would be synthetic? (Don’t forget, Courtney Stodden isn’t the highest paid.)
